Sidewalk Chalk 1
3/4 cup of warm water
Toilet TissueTubes
1-1/2 cups Plaster of Paris
2-3 tbsp Powdered Tempra Paints
Container for Mixing

Cover one end of a tissue tube with duct tape. Place a loosely rolled piece of wax paper in the tube to create a liner to keep the plaster from sticking to the sides of the tube.

Pour water into a mixing container and sprinkle plaster into the water until the plaster no longer dissolves (approx. 1-1/2 cups). Stir thoroughly and mix in 2-3 tbsp. powdered paint.

Place tubes, sealed end down, on a flat surface. Pour in plaster mix and tap sides of tube to realease air bubbles. Let dry 1-2 days, pull off mold, and have fun drawing.

Washable Window Paint
Tempera Paints (powdered or premixed)
Clear Dishwashing Liquid

Mix powdered paint with dish soap until it resembles house paint or add dish soap into premixed paints. Line the window sash with masking tape and spread newspaper around to protect the area. To erase paint or fix mistakes simply wipe paint away with a dry paper towel.

Play Clay
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Salt
1/2 cup Very Warm Tap Water
For Kids who want to make it themselves

Mix flour and salt, then pour in water and stir well. Knead for 5 minutes, adding color as desired. Store in sealed container - keeps up to a week. Air dry, or small or thin pieces can be baked at 200 degrees for 2 hours, with parental guidance.

Magic Goo
1 cup Cornstarch
1/2 cup Water
Food Coloring

Mix all ingredients. To change consistency add more water or cornstarch.

Bubbles
1 cup water
1/3 cup dish soap (Joy, Sunlight, etc)
2 Tablespoons light corn syrup

Combine ingredients and enjoy. If you don't have bubble blowers around the house, be creative and try using different objects from your utensil drawer, (e.g., apple corer, potato masher, handle of a basting brush, etc. They work.)
